EVC BDM100
BDM100 opens the door to a whole generation of ECUs
After the security access for OBD2 programming growing complexity for ECUs with Motorola MPC555 - 565 arises a new opportunity for chip tuning.
This generation of Motorola processors have 448KB - 1MB flash memory. This memory can not be read or written with a EPROM programmer. This is only possible with the BDM interface, which is on each control unit with such a processor. Most are 10 solder pads on the bottom board.
Alternatively, control units with 12 or 14 solder pads, which are supported with opertaing voltage through this direct connection.
The BDM100 connects these solder points of BDM interface with the WinOLS PC via the USB bus. The BDM100 is supported via the USB bus with operating voltage. The control unit needs its own supply voltage of +12 volts.
To contact the BDM140.K with the corresponding probe BDM141 - BDM147 is needed.
